Posting to X: credits or your own key

X (formerly Twitter) charges every app for each post made through its API, and more for posts with a link. Instead of raising the price for everyone, SolMarrow gives you two choices.

Option 1: X credits

• Buy a credit pack on the X credits page: 100 credits for $5 or 500 credits for $20.
• A post to X uses 1 credit, or 6 credits if it contains a link. Each X account you post to counts as one post.
• Credits are taken only after the post is live on X. A post that fails costs nothing.
• Credits are shared by all your workspaces.
• Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase.

The X credits page always shows the current prices and your balance.

Option 2: your own X key

Prefer to pay X directly? Add your own X developer app to a workspace:

1. Create an app in the X developer portal and copy its OAuth 2.0 Client ID and Client Secret.
2. In SolMarrow, open X credits and add your key for the workspace (owner or admin).
3. Reconnect your X accounts in that workspace so they use your key.

X posts from that workspace then use your key instead of credits. Remove the key at any time to go back to credits.

Best practices

• Put links in replies or keep them for networks that don't charge, if you want to save credits.
• Agencies posting a lot to X usually save with their own X key.
