How to connect

1. Open Accounts in the SolMarrow sidebar.
2. Choose Bluesky.
3. Connect with Bluesky's official OAuth sign-in on the AT Protocol. You don't need to create an app password, and SolMarrow never sees your login. To use the inbox, connect with chat access; accounts connected before DMs were added just reconnect once.
4. Back in SolMarrow, the account shows as connected. You can now pick it under Post to in the composer.

What you can publish

• Text posts: Up to 300 characters per post, enough for a quick thought, a question or a link with a line of context.
• Image posts: Up to 4 images per post, each with its own alt text, which many people on Bluesky expect.
• Video posts: One video per post, up to 100 MB. Images and video go in separate posts, and the composer checks this for you.

Limits

• Text: up to 300 characters.
• Media: up to 4 images or up to 1 video.

Tips

• Always add alt text: Bluesky's community cares about image descriptions. A sentence on what the image shows makes your post usable for everyone.
• Write for custom feeds: Many people browse topic feeds instead of the following feed. Use the plain words people in your field use, so feeds built on keywords can pick up your posts.
• Get into starter packs: Starter packs help new users find accounts to follow. Join or create one for your niche so the right people discover you.
• Use your domain as your handle: Bluesky lets you verify a domain you own as your handle, like @yourbrand.com. It's a simple way to show an account is really yours.

Is it free to schedule Bluesky posts?

Yes. The free plan includes unlimited accounts and posts, plus Bluesky replies, direct messages and post stats. No card is needed.

Do I need a Bluesky app password?

No. SolMarrow uses Bluesky's official OAuth sign-in, so you approve access on Bluesky's own screen and never share a password.

Can I schedule Bluesky threads?

No. SolMarrow publishes single posts with text, up to 4 images or one video. Threads are not supported.

Can I read and answer Bluesky DMs in SolMarrow?

Yes. Direct messages show up in the social inbox for accounts connected with chat access. If you connected before DMs were added, reconnect once to turn them on.
