Connect Dribbble
How to connect Dribbble to SolMarrow step by step, what you can publish, the limits, and tips for better Dribbble posts.
What you can post: Shots.
How to connect
- Open Accounts in the SolMarrow sidebar.
- Choose Dribbble.
- Connect with Dribbble's own sign-in, so SolMarrow never sees your password. Dribbble may limit uploading through apps to some accounts, such as Pro members. If Dribbble turns down an upload, SolMarrow marks the shot as failed and shows the reason Dribbble gives.
- Back in SolMarrow, the account shows as connected. You can now pick it under Post to in the composer.
What you can publish
- Image shots: One JPG, PNG or GIF per shot. SolMarrow fits it to Dribbble's 1600×1200 size before upload, so it fills the frame the way Dribbble expects.
- Title, description and tags: Every shot needs a title of up to 64 characters. Add a description of the project and up to 12 tags so the right people can find it.
Limits
- Text: up to 4,000 characters.
- Media: up to 1 image; an image or video is required.
Tips
- Design for the thumbnail: Most people first see your shot as a small card in a grid. Make the main idea readable at that size, with one clear focal point instead of a crowded collage.
- Work in 4:3: Shots are shown in a 4:3 frame. Set up your canvas at 1600×1200 and keep important details away from the edges so nothing gets lost.
- Use titles people search for: A plain title like "Banking App Onboarding Screens" tells viewers and Dribbble search exactly what the shot is. Save clever names for the description.
- Tell the story behind the work: Use the description to explain the problem, your role and one decision you made. Clients browsing Dribbble want to see how you think, not only the final pixels.
Questions
Can SolMarrow upload Dribbble shots automatically?
Yes. SolMarrow uploads each shot through Dribbble's official API at the time you schedule, with its title, description and tags. You don't need to be online when it goes out.
Does it work with a free Dribbble account?
Dribbble decides which accounts can upload through connected apps and may limit it to some accounts, such as Pro. If Dribbble refuses an upload, SolMarrow marks the post as failed with Dribbble's reason, so you know what happened.
What image formats and sizes can I upload?
One JPG, PNG or GIF per shot. SolMarrow fits the image to Dribbble's 1600×1200 size before uploading, so you can use your regular export.
Can a shot have several images or a video?
No. Through SolMarrow, each Dribbble shot is exactly one image. To show more of a project, split it into several shots and schedule them over a few days or weeks.
