Post approvals
With Pro, posts can wait on an Approvals board until the owner or an admin approves them. Columns, feedback and how approved posts go out.
Approvals (Pro) make sure nothing goes out before it is checked.
Send a post for approval
- Write the post in the composer.
- Click Send approval, and optionally pick the date and time it should go out.
- The post moves to the Approvals board in Waiting for approval. Nothing is published before it is approved.
Review posts
The board has four columns: Waiting for approval, Feedback, Approved and Declined. You can add your own columns for your team's steps.
- Open a post on the board (or drag it to another column).
- Choose one:
- Approve: if it has a time, it is scheduled and goes out then. If not, open it to pick a time.
- Send feedback: write what should change; the post moves to Feedback so the writer can update it.
- Decline: it moves to Declined and won't be published.
Only the owner or an admin can approve or decline. Owners and admins get an email when a post is sent for approval, and the writer gets an email when it is approved, declined or gets feedback.
Best practices
- Send for approval a day ahead, so reviewers have time.
- Write clear feedback ("Shorten the X version, add the event date") so one round is enough.
- Use a custom column like "Legal check" if a post needs more than one review.
