How to connect

1. Open Accounts in the SolMarrow sidebar.
2. Choose YouTube.
3. Connect with Google sign-in, and SolMarrow uploads through the official YouTube Data API. Your Google password stays with Google, and you can remove SolMarrow's access at any time in your Google account.
4. Back in SolMarrow, the account shows as connected. You can now pick it under Post to in the composer.

What you can publish

• Videos: One video per post, with a title of up to 100 characters and a description of up to 5,000 characters.
• Shorts: Upload a short vertical video and YouTube itself treats it as a Short, based on its length and aspect ratio.
• Unlisted and private uploads: Pick public, unlisted or private for each video. Unlisted works well for client previews and course lessons.

Limits

• Text: up to 5,000 characters.
• Media: up to 1 video; a video is required.

Tips

• Put the topic first in the title: Titles get cut off in search results and on phones. Lead with the words people would search for, and keep the clever part for the end.
• Make the first lines of the description count: Only the start of the description shows before viewers click to see more. Use it to say what the video covers and add your most important link.
• Add chapters: List timestamps in the description, starting with 0:00, and YouTube turns them into chapters viewers can jump between.
• Keep Shorts vertical and short: YouTube decides what counts as a Short from the video's length and shape. Film vertically and keep it brief if you want it in the Shorts feed.

Is it free to schedule YouTube videos?

Yes. YouTube is open to everyone on SolMarrow's free plan, with unlimited accounts and posts. Pro is $10 a month if you need several workspaces or a team.

Can I schedule YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Upload a short vertical video and YouTube decides whether it appears as a Short, based on its length and aspect ratio. SolMarrow uploads it like any other video.

Do I have to write a title for every video?

YouTube requires a title. You can type one of up to 100 characters, or SolMarrow uses the first line of your text.

Can I upload videos as unlisted or private?

Yes. Pick public, unlisted or private for each video in the composer.
