Why did my post fail?
What happens when a post fails, how SolMarrow retries automatically, the most common reasons and how to fix and post again.
What SolMarrow does automatically
- Temporary problems (the network is busy or down): SolMarrow tries again automatically, after about 1 and then 5 minutes.
- A network's limit is used up (for example YouTube's daily upload limit or "too many requests"): the post waits for the limit to reset and then goes out. If the limit is still reached two days later, the post fails.
- If it still can't go out, it is marked Failed in the calendar with the network's reason, and we email you once.
Common reasons and fixes
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Reconnect … to publish to it" | The network ended SolMarrow's access (password change, expired sign-in). Reconnect the account in Accounts, then post again. |
| Text too long / too many images | Shorten the text or remove files for that network, using its own version tab. |
| The network refused the post | Read the reason shown. Often it's a duplicate post, a blocked link or media the network doesn't accept. |
| "Not enough X credits" | Buy credits or add your own X key. See Posting to X. |
| Partly published | Some accounts worked, others failed. Open the post to see which and why. |
| "Publishing was interrupted" | Check the post on the network before trying again, so it isn't posted twice. |
Post again
- Open the failed post in the Calendar.
- Fix the problem, then schedule it again or click Post now.
Tip: Use the calendar's Failed filter once a week so nothing is missed.
