How to connect

1. Open Accounts in the SolMarrow sidebar.
2. Choose LinkedIn.
3. Sign in with LinkedIn's own login; SolMarrow never sees your password. LinkedIn gives apps like SolMarrow 60 days of access with no automatic renewal, so you reconnect your profile every 60 days, and SolMarrow tells you when it's time.
4. Back in SolMarrow, the account shows as connected. You can now pick it under Post to in the composer.

What you can publish

• Text posts: Long-form updates of up to 3,000 characters for stories, lessons and opinions that need more than a sentence.
• Image posts: Add up to 9 images to one post, from a single photo to a set of slides or event pictures.
• Video posts: One video per post, up to 5 GB. A post holds either images or a video, and the composer keeps you from mixing them.

Limits

• Text: up to 3,000 characters.
• Media: up to 9 images or up to 1 video.

Tips

• Earn the click on "see more": LinkedIn shows only the first couple of lines before cutting a post off. Make that opening specific enough that people want the rest.
• Use short paragraphs: One or two sentences per paragraph, with a blank line between them, is much easier to read on a phone than a solid block of text.
• Share what you learned: Posts built on a real experience, a mistake you made or a number from your own work tend to start more conversations than general advice.
• Answer comments early: Replying to the first comments keeps the conversation going. Schedule posts for times when you can check LinkedIn soon after they publish.

Questions

Is it free to schedule LinkedIn posts?

Yes. SolMarrow's free plan includes unlimited social accounts and unlimited posts, LinkedIn included. Pro is $10 a month if you need several workspaces or a team.

Why do I have to reconnect LinkedIn every 60 days?

LinkedIn gives apps like SolMarrow 60-day access to a personal profile and doesn't allow it to be renewed in the background. When the 60 days are up, you sign in again in a few clicks. SolMarrow tells you when it's needed.

Can I schedule posts to a LinkedIn company page?

Not yet. Company pages open after LinkedIn approves SolMarrow for its Community Management API. Personal profiles work today.

Can I schedule LinkedIn document or PDF posts?

No. SolMarrow publishes text posts, posts with up to 9 images, and posts with one video. Document posts and polls are not supported.
