How to connect TikTok to SolMarrow step by step, what you can publish, the limits, and tips for better TikTok posts.

What you can post: Videos and photo posts.

Note: This network opens for everyone once the platform approves the SolMarrow app. Until then it shows In review on the Accounts page.

How to connect

  1. Open Accounts in the SolMarrow sidebar.
  2. Choose TikTok.
  3. Connect with TikTok's own login, and SolMarrow posts through TikTok's official Content Posting API. Your password stays with TikTok. The connection opens after TikTok approves SolMarrow's app; until TikTok's audit is complete, posts made through the API can only be private to the creator.
  4. Back in SolMarrow, the account shows as connected. You can now pick it under Post to in the composer.
Tip: Connect in the same browser where you are already signed in to the network, so you only need to confirm.

What you can publish

  • Videos: One video per post, up to 4 GB, with a caption of up to 2,200 characters.
  • Photo posts: Up to 35 photos in one swipeable post, with the same 2,200-character caption. Photos and video aren't mixed in one post.

Limits

  • Text: up to 2,200 characters.
  • Media: up to 35 images or up to 1 video; an image or video is required.

Tips

  • Hook in the first seconds: People decide fast whether to keep watching. Open with the result, the question or the surprising moment, not a slow intro.
  • Film vertical and mind the edges: Shoot in 9:16 and keep faces and on-screen text away from the right side and bottom, where TikTok places its buttons and your caption.
  • Add text on screen: Plenty of people scroll with the sound off. Short on-screen captions make your point land whether the audio is on or not.
  • Turn how-tos into photo posts: Recipes, checklists and step-by-step guides work well as photo posts that people swipe through at their own pace.

Questions

When will TikTok scheduling be available?

The TikTok integration is built and waiting on TikTok's review. It opens to everyone as soon as TikTok approves SolMarrow's app. You can start free now with your other networks and add TikTok then.

Will SolMarrow post to TikTok directly or send drafts to my inbox?

Directly. SolMarrow uses TikTok's Content Posting API with direct posting, so the post goes live on your profile at the scheduled time with the settings you chose.

Who will see my scheduled TikToks?

You choose for every post. TikTok has no default visibility, so the composer asks each time. Until TikTok completes its audit of SolMarrow's app, posts made through the API can only be private to you.

Can I schedule TikTok photo posts?

Yes. A photo post can hold up to 35 photos with a caption of up to 2,200 characters. Photos and video can't be combined in one post.
